Elaine Samuels
Elaine Samuels first came to the attention of the UK filk community in 1994, when she attended VIbraphone. She was already known in the folk community for her workshops on such subjects as vocal technique and dealing with hecklers; for Vibraphone, she combined the two subjects, and gave a delightful and amusing talk.
As a folk/acoustic performer, she is second to none. With a voice that is both dynamic and versatile, she is equally at home with blues as with folk, and comedy as well as serious ballads. With six albums to her name, she plays the length of the country, at over 160 live gigs per year, in addition to TV and radio appearences.
